For the 4th consecutive year, petMaxi has achieved the highest level of IFS (International Featured Standards) food safety certification.
After another audit of the facilities and products of the Portuguese factory petMaxi, the IFS FOOD - International Feature Standards certification has been renewed, maintaining the HIGHER LEVEL score. This certification is a globally recognized benchmark for Quality and Food Safety auditing of food manufacturers. petMaxi has been certified by IFS FOOD since 2017, further reinforcing the commitment to Quality throughout the production process.
IFS Food Standard is a standard of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) for auditing food manufacturers. The focus is on food safety and the quality of processes and products. Being certified for IFS FOOD represents the certification of the Safety and Quality of products and production processes. It demonstrates the commitment to Quality throughout the production process, ensuring that all our products are manufactured according to internationally recognized rigorous parameters. Inaugurated in February 2015, petMaxi is specialized in the production of premium and super premium pet food. It is a pioneering project in Portugal, with cutting-edge technology worldwide, but with 100% national capital and partners. With only 5 years in the market, it already exports to about 30 countries and has 49 employees. The second production line is also in the start-up phase to meet the needs of the national and international markets, which are continuously growing.
