On July 28th, we received the Secretary of State for Food and Agri-Food Research, Prof. Dr. Nuno Vieira e Brito, at Maxipet.
Also present on the visit were the Chief of Staff of the Secretary of State, Ms. Albertina Vasconcelos, and Dr. Jacinto Lopes, the Mayor of Ferreira do Zêzere, as well as Mr. Jorge Fernandes and Mr. Luis Guilherme, Administrators of the company.
After watching the video that was shown during the inauguration of Maxipet in February, which the Secretary of State was unable to attend, the tour of the factory began.
The group went through all stages of the production line and even went up to the highest area of the factory, 35 meters high, to visualize the entire production area of the company.
The innovative and cutting-edge equipment, which enables the production of high-quality and competitively-priced pet food, was also presented.
During the visit, topics such as the employment opportunities provided by Maxipet to the region, as well as the company's export potential, were discussed.
The visit concluded with a snack featuring various products from the region and a toast to the success of Maxipet.
