"We dreamed and made it happen. We won't stop here."
On February 13, 2015, petMaxi officially inaugurated its factory for dog and cat food, aiming to bring the best of the pet industry to Portugal. In just four years, the promises made by Luis Guilherme, the company's CEO, became a reality.
Excerpts from the 2015 inauguration speech: "(...) today it is a reality, and we aspire not to stop here but to make further investments complementary to our business, such as wet food or snacks, create more jobs, contribute to economic growth if the Portuguese people choose us when they make their purchases." "We are eager to maximize our production capacity and make new investments, provided the market demands it. We aim to quickly transition to working in three shifts and hiring new employees." "(...) we will be known as an innovative company that will soon introduce innovative products of excellent quality at fair and competitive prices. One of our concerns will be the longevity and well-being of animals." "We are a Portuguese company that will generate direct and indirect wealth for our land, region, and country."
In 2021, petMaxi achieved a turnover of 29 million euros. This year, petMaxi is launching an online virtual tour of its factory. In 2021, at the largest pet industry fair in Europe, a prototype of the virtual tour was presented and received great success among visitors. "We continue with the same determination as in the beginning, confident that we can bring more benefits to the pet food sector in Portugal," said Luis Guilherme.
