PetMaxi's donation of 120 Tons of pet food to various Portuguese associations was highlighted in the newspaper "O Templário".
"PetMaxi in F. Zêzere donates 120 tons of animal feed
Given the current moment we live in, petMaxi, as a pet food manufacturer with a solidarity aspect since its creation, in 2015, has felt the need to support those who, even with risks to their health, continue to give the best of himself in the various animal protection associations, spread throughout the country.
With the kennels currently full and with the campaigns to collect food in supermarkets, canceled in the near future, petMaxi decided to offer 120 tons of food (6000 bags of 20 kg each, divided by the months of April, May and June to Animalife, which, in turn, will make them reach associations and animal caretakers, who are so in need of this help.
"Everything could be much easier, and there would be more support, if companies like ours didn't have to pay 23% VAT on these donations to Associations. For every €10,000 of donations, the State collects €2,300. Associations and the Country." explains Luis Guilherme CEO of petMaxi
This is just one of the company's measures since the beginning of the pandemic. At the beginning of April, it made a monetary donation of 70,000 to the Portuguese Red Cross. In addition, 5% of sales made until May 30 in the happyOne Premium and happyOne Mediterraneum brands also revert to support this institution."
